Truth Matters: A Photo Project

Psalm 25:4-5Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all day long.

What the psalmist expresses above in words, you will see on Summit’s latest Art Wall interpreted in pictures.

Truth matters.  So, in February of this year, we asked over 20 photographers and handful of artists within the Summit community to create an expression of this rich scripture through visual imagery. God's truth, captured through these verses, and then translated through the eyes of each artist.

We invite you to read the words, and then take a look. You will see unique moments in nature within our city.  You'll see expectant faces.  You'll see streets in Vancouver and skies in Africa--people and places in the creation, calling out to understand the Creator, and waiting on his will. Each image is a window through which we can view the truth of scripture through the thoughts and mind of another—both the artists who call Summit home, and those who have gone out beyond our four walls to reach people all over the world.

This Art Wall is just a tiny, albeit lovely, snippet of how scripture can become manifest through our hands and feet. Our desire for you is to ponder yourself the words of Psalm 25:4-5, and explore how God might be leading you to put his truth on display through your life also.  Not just in pictures like these, but in word, deed, and love.

This wall is currently up at Summit Herndon and Summit Waterford, with a rendition coming soon to Summit Lake Mary.

I want to personally thank all the artists and photographers that lent their creativity and time to make this wall something to look at! --Kristy-Lee (Communications Director)
