Families, we are excited to be worshiping with your kids!
Base Camp is available for children ages 3 months to 5th grade. We have put some additional measures in place to provide an environment in which we hope everyone can feel comfortable. Masks will continue to be worn by children and volunteers while in Base Camp at the Herndon and Waterford Campuses until Sunday, August 1st. Beginning Sunday, August 1st, masks will be recommended but not required in all Base Camp classrooms and environments. At the Lake Mary Campus, masks are recommended but not required in all Base Camp classrooms and environments effective immediately.
Weekly online videos and resources will continue to be posted every Sunday for those not yet ready to join us in person.
Base Camp, Summit’s Children’s Ministry, is for our 3-month-olds to 5th grade kids. Each Sunday, your child will learn about the Bible and how it relates to them in an age-appropriate way. The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff members who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids. Ultimately, the goal of Base Camp is to get kids excited about Jesus and to encourage and equip families to talk about him together throughout the week!
Preschool
In Base Camp, we have three truths that we want all our preschoolers to know: "God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever!" It is our hope that your child will love their church experience, and everything we do is designed intentionally with them in mind.
Our program includes nursery care for children beginning at 3 months old and preschool classrooms for 2 to 5-year-olds, available during all services at our Herndon, Lake Mary, and Waterford Campuses.
Elementary
In Base Camp, our elementary kids learn that they can put their trust in Jesus, that God loves them no matter what, and that what they say and do matters. On Sunday, you can expect the elementary classrooms to be teeming with volunteers who love kids, are playful and fun, and who want to show your children what a growing and meaningful relationship with Jesus looks like!
Our elementary program is for K-5th graders and is available during all services at our Herndon, Lake Mary, and Waterford Campuses.
Base Camp Live!
BCL is Summit’s 20-minute family production that kids get to take their parents to after select Sunday morning worship services. It involves a lot of high-energy music and a cast of lively and relatable characters who walk through life learning how God’s truth can transform us.
BCL is currently on break for the summer but will be back in September!
Special-Needs Buddies
At Summit we are equipped to provide buddies for kids in our inclusive classroom environments to make sure Base Camp can be enjoyed by children of all abilities. A sensory-friendly classroom is also available at the Herndon Campus. We would love to work with you to make sure Summit is a place that is safe and enjoyable for your kids. Please contact the Children's Ministry staff member for your campus to discuss how we can best welcome and support you and your family.
