We're glad you're here.
Our community began as a Bible study in 2018 and first met in January of 2019 as a house church with a desire to serve our neighborhood and local school. Just over a year later in February 2020, we started meeting in that very elementary school as a Neighborhood Church.
We want you to know that you are completely welcome as you are. You'll notice this in everything from the smiling faces who greet you as you arrive, to the folks ready to stand alongside you in prayer after service. If you have any questions—ranging from "where's the bathroom?" to "how can I get connected in community here?"—track down anyone you see leading worship or speaking during the service. They're certified-friendly and are eager to help you out!
What to Expect
A CLOSE, WELCOMING COMMUNITY
At Riverside, we have a heart for the local community. This neighborhood church began as a house church and Bible study and has unfolded into something pretty special. Doug and his wife Naomi are committed to this growing community, and they continue to see answered prayers about what's next.
TEACHING AND DISCUSSION
Services at Riverside have built-in discussion and connection. After the sermon, we'll break into groups and you'll be led through questions related to the teaching. We believe it's important to process what you're learning in community, and we want to make that easy!
CONTENT-CONNECTED MUSIC
From week to week, you will hear a mix of updated hymns along with current worship music. Songs are carefully chosen to celebrate God’s character as we prepare to hear his truth and respond to his call.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear whatever feels right for you—we want you to be comfortable and what’s most important is that you come to worship God, lean in, and listen to what he has to teach you. Since we are currently meeting outdoors, you may want to keep the weather in mind!
WHAT TO BRING
Yourself, and a friend if you like! Since we are currently meeting outdoors, many bring their own camping or beach chairs, but there are picnic tables and extra chairs we keep around for visitors. We are also very kid-friendly and pet-friendly, so bring the whole family!
