On Tuesday evening, September 2nd, many of you joined us for The Forum, a gathering for Summit partners. Thanks for worshiping, praying, and celebrating with us! For those who weren't able to make it, here are some of the highlights. (Be sure to listen to The Forum via the link at the end of this post!)Eddy Moratin has joined the staff as our new Summit Connect Director! Eddy, a longtime partner, guest teacher, and Board member, will be the go-to guy for group leader support and training. We're incredibly excited to have Eddy on board and can't wait to see what's in store for Summit Connect.

Garry Abbott was ordained as Pastor, and we had a special time of commitment and prayer for him. He'll now join John Parker, Andy Simonds, and Jeff Kern as a member of the Strategy Team. Garry has played a key role over the last several years, helping to establish multi-site campuses and leading our local and global missions teams. A huge congratulations to Garry and the Abbott family!

• Drumroll please... Summit is heading to Dr. Phillips/Windermere! In the coming weeks and months, we will be forming a team that will establish Summit's next multi-site in this area, with the hope of launching the campus a year from now. If you live in the area or have friends and family there, be thinking and praying about how you can be involved with our next campus!

The Lake Mary campus is going The Extra Mile. We’ve had an incredible experience during our launch phase at Lake Mary High School, but we believe that to fulfill the vision God has given our church, our next right step is to build a full-time, fully functioning facility. We're raising funds to build out our current office space to turn it into a permanent campus and hope to move into the new facility by Easter 2015! Read more and find out how you can contribute to The Extra Mile at summitconnect.org.
