Jeremy Kennedy: How Do You #summitserve?

Jeremy grew up on the Florida Gulf Coast and dreamed of being either an astronaut or artist. (Fortunately for Summit, he went the artist route.) Through surfing and skateboarding, he found a love for photography, apparel, and magazine design. A graduate of Sarasota’s Ringling College of Art and Design, Jeremy started his own design studio, KENEDIK (pronounced “kinetic”) in 2003. He works with clients worldwide providing art direction, graphics, and illustrations for use in print, apparel, editorial, board, and product design. His clientele ranges from established action sports companies to interesting start-up businesses and non-profits he believes in… and of course, Summit Church. Jeremy’s been an integral part of creating and designing everything from art walls (remember the “Light" wall from Advent 2011?) to SUMMIT MAGAZINE, to the Family Connection booklets, to logos and materials for our big initiatives like Going Local, Second Stories, and The Extra Mile. He’s designed brochures, cards, signage, sermon graphics, direction signs and flags, booklets for Summit Connect, and so much more for Base Camp and other ministries.

Jeremy, his wife Jen, and their two little boys, Kingston and Zeke, are part of the Summit Lake Mary family. “We had been hoping and praying for Summit to ‘go north’ for years, and when we heard about them choosing Lake Mary, we were so happy,” Jeremy says. “We love that our family and friends and neighbors can attend. The best part of Sundays is probably taking the kids to their area and seeing them excited to see their leaders and friends and to know they are loved and cared for and happy to be at church.” The Kennedys have been part of the multi-site since the campus first launched and love serving there in various capacities as well.

“I’m super passionate about making fun things every day for the people of Summit,” Jeremy says. “Having something engaging for people to see or hold at Summit is super important, because we want to put a ton of time and effort into things that help everyone know they matter to God.”
