Easter Sunday: Take Two

A lot of people ask me how things are going in our 33rd Street Jail campus, and I enjoy sharing what church looks like on “the inside”. Most people know that we have two church services each Sunday inside the Orange County Jail—one in the men’s facility and one in the women’s facility. Freedom

I remember a time in my life when I was showing up to work every day just to receive a paycheck. It was a horrible feeling. I was not passionate or proud of my work, and every week seemed to bring a “case of the Mondays”. I think about this in contrast to some of the prayers of our friends in the 33rd Street Women’s campus.

You are Worth it

A few weeks ago, I visited my hometown of Memphis, TN where I spent a significant amount of time in a therapy office with my father, mother, and brother. Even though we are all well into adulthood and lead separate lives, we still need the guidance of a professional to navigate our family relationships and dysfunction.
